ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Our Commitment

At Gavario, we believe everyone deserves equal access to skincare information and the ability to shop with ease regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse the web.

We are actively working to ensure that gavario.com conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

Accessibility Standards

We aim to conform to the following standards:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C

  • ADA Compliance — Americans with Disabilities Act (Title III) for digital accessibility

  • Section 508 — where applicable, federal accessibility requirements

Our goal is not just legal compliance but genuine usability for all visitors. We regularly audit our site and update our practices as accessibility standards evolve.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features to improve accessibility across gavario.com:

Navigation & Structure

  • Clear, consistent page structure with logical heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3)

  • Descriptive link text — no "click here" or vague labels

  • Skip-to-content links for keyboard and screen reader users

  • Breadcrumb navigation on product and category pages

Visual Design

  • Minimum 4.5:1 color contrast ratio for all body text

  • Text remains readable when zoomed up to 200%

  • No content relies solely on color to convey meaning

  • All images include descriptive alt text

Forms & Interactions

  • All form fields have visible, descriptive labels

  • Error messages are clearly written and easy to identify

  • Buttons and interactive elements have clear focus states

  • No time limits on form completion

Media

  • Product images include descriptive alt text

  • Before & after photos include contextual text descriptions

  • No auto-playing audio or video content

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge there may be some areas of our site that are not yet fully optimized. Known limitations include:

  • Some older product images may have limited alt text descriptions — we are working to update these

  • Third-party plugins and embedded tools (such as payment processors) may have their own accessibility limitations outside our direct control

  • Some PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully screen-reader compatible

We are actively working to resolve these issues and welcome feedback to help us identify areas for improvement.

Our website has been tested with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS & iOS), TalkBack (Android)

  • Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge
